The Hertz MLK 1650.3 Legend is a reference-grade two-way kit dedicated to audio purists. V-cone® & Boundary Free Surround: The woofer features an exponential profile for exceptional dispersion and a specialized surround that increases the effective emission surface. This allows the speaker to move more air while maintaining total mechanical control.

ML 280.3 Legend Tweeter: This 35 mm (1.38 in.) oversized tweeter uses a Tetolon fiber dome and a massive Neodymium magnet. It is designed for a very low resonance frequency ($Fs$) and incredible high-frequency extension up to 25 kHz.

Bi-Amp Ready Crossover: The MLCX 2 TW.3 passive crossover is built with high-quality components and includes a switch to realize a bi-amplified system. This allows you to drive the woofer and tweeter with separate amplifier channels for maximum control.

Acoustic Contour Controls: Features Mid-Contour and Hi-Contour selectors. These allow you to fine-tune the cross-point and frequency response to compensate for difficult speaker placements or specific cabin acoustics.

Those guys are really professional! I had a new Alpine floating head unit installed in my 2008 Mercedes, and it feels like a brand-new car. The installation was super clean. At first, the sound wasn’t the same as the factory stereo, but Kevin tuned it to be just as good—if not better—without adding any new amps. They even used my factory GPS antenna so I don’t have extra wires hanging out. On top of that, they matched the online price. Big thanks to Kevin and Eddie—highly recommended!
Kevin was awesome, he took his time and explained everything to me. I went in initially for a dash cam install and then decided to get a sub and amp installed as well. Both turned out great and will be returning if I need more work done.

Highly recommend Kevin and the team at San Diego Car Stereo for any issues with aftermarket stereos. I bought a car with an aftermarket stereo and AC unit that wasn’t working properly—specifically, the heat wasn’t functioning due to an improper setup. I had several people look at it with no luck, and even the dealership basically refused to help because it was an aftermarket install. I came to Kevin and his team over the holidays feeling pretty defeated, but he was confident he could get the heat working before I headed back to a Colorado winter. Sure enough, he got it done.
