The Alpine PSS-TSUB-T3A is a premium, plug-and-play 10-inch subwoofer and amplifier system designed exclusively for the 2017-2023 Tesla Model 3 equipped with the factory Premium Audio system. This kit provides a massive bass boost by replacing the small factory 8-inch driver with a high-excursion 10-inch Alpine subwoofer, powered by a dedicated 200W RMS mono amplifier. The PSS-TSUB-T3A is a true plug-and-play solution. It includes Tesla-specific wiring harnesses and a pre-tuned line output converter (LOC), allowing it to integrate directly into the factory audio signal. Because it uses vehicle-specific connectors, there is no cutting or splicing of the factory harness required, which helps maintain the integrity of your Tesla’s complex electrical system while ensuring all original OEM functions remain active.

Designed with the EV lifestyle in mind, the included Alpine KTA-200M amplifier features Dynamic Peak Power (DPP) technology. This allows the amp to double its power during musical peaks without a massive continuous draw on the battery—Alpine estimates it uses less than one mile of range even at full volume. The "stealth" enclosure fits perfectly behind the rear trunk panel, keeping your cargo area completely clear for luggage and groceries.
Enhanced Audio & Ambiance
This kit upgrades your sonic ambiance from a standard 8-inch plastic-frame sub to a professional 10-inch carbon fiber cone subwoofer. The hybrid carbon fiber material is incredibly stiff yet lightweight, delivering fast, accurate bass that doesn't "muddy" the mid-tones. Paired with Alpine’s patented H.A.M.R. (High Amplitude Multi-Roll) surround, the sub can move more air for deeper, more physical bass that you can feel throughout the cabin.
Fine Tune Your Sound
The system comes pre-tuned specifically for the Tesla Model 3’s interior acoustics, so it sounds great right out of the box. However, the enclosure is custom-shaped to minimize rattles and vibrations common with high-output bass. For those who want to "fine-tune" the experience even further, Alpine recommends adding sound damping (sold separately) to the trunk cavity to ensure every bit of the 500W peak power is translated into pure, clean low-end energy.

Those guys are really professional! I had a new Alpine floating head unit installed in my 2008 Mercedes, and it feels like a brand-new car. The installation was super clean. At first, the sound wasn’t the same as the factory stereo, but Kevin tuned it to be just as good—if not better—without adding any new amps. They even used my factory GPS antenna so I don’t have extra wires hanging out. On top of that, they matched the online price. Big thanks to Kevin and Eddie—highly recommended!
Kevin was awesome, he took his time and explained everything to me. I went in initially for a dash cam install and then decided to get a sub and amp installed as well. Both turned out great and will be returning if I need more work done.

Highly recommend Kevin and the team at San Diego Car Stereo for any issues with aftermarket stereos. I bought a car with an aftermarket stereo and AC unit that wasn’t working properly—specifically, the heat wasn’t functioning due to an improper setup. I had several people look at it with no luck, and even the dealership basically refused to help because it was an aftermarket install.
