The Alpine RS-SB12 is a premium, high-output sealed enclosure designed for vehicles with limited space. At just 5.25 inches deep, it features the high-performance RS-W12D4 shallow subwoofer. Part of the legendary R-Series, this enclosure is engineered to provide the same physical impact as full-sized subwoofers (20mm of excursion) while fitting in tight areas like behind truck seats or in compact trunks.

The RS-SB12 is pre-configured for maximum efficiency and ease of installation. Its internal dual 4-ohm voice coils are pre-wired in parallel, presenting a 2-ohm nominal load at the recessed terminal cup. This makes it an ideal "plug-and-play" match for Alpine’s mono amplifiers, such as the S-A60M or R2-A75M, ensuring you get a full 600W RMS delivery without needing to rewire the driver.
Safety & Convenience
Built from heavy-duty 3/4" MDF, the enclosure is wrapped in high-quality black carpet with an embroidered Alpine logo. It includes adjustable, stackable rubber feet and spacers, allowing for both up-firing and down-firing mounting configurations to accommodate uneven vehicle floors. A pre-installed steel mesh grille provides essential protection for the 12-inch cone from shifting cargo.
Enhanced Audio & Ambiance
Despite its slim profile, the RS-SB12 delivers an impressive 20mm of 1-way excursion. This is achieved through Alpine’s Gen2 DD-Linear Magnetic Circuit and a powerful neodymium magnet housed within a large 4-inch voice coil. The rigid aluminum dust cap ensures that bass transients are quick and clean, projecting deep frequencies accurately for a professional-grade audio ambiance.
Fine Tune Your Sound
Thermal management is critical for consistent performance. This enclosure utilizes Alpine’s CoolMount™ Dual-panel motor mount and integrated cooling fins to efficiently dissipate heat during high-volume playback. This allows you to "fine-tune" your listening for hours of uninterrupted playtime. For those looking for even more output, the enclosure is designed to work with the PrismaLink™ bracket system for linking multiple units together.
