The Alpine RS-SB12 is a premium, high-output sealed enclosure designed for vehicles with limited space. At just 5.25 inches deep, it features the high-performance RS-W12D4 shallow subwoofer. Part of the legendary R-Series, this enclosure is engineered to provide the same physical impact as full-sized subwoofers (20mm of excursion) while fitting in tight areas like behind truck seats or in compact trunks.

Its internal dual 4-ohm voice coils are pre-wired in parallel, presenting a 2-ohm nominal load at the recessed terminal cup. This makes it an ideal "plug-and-play" match for Alpine’s mono amplifiers, such as the S-A60M or R2-A75M, ensuring you get a full 600W RMS delivery without needing to rewire the driver.

Built from heavy-duty 3/4" MDF, the enclosure is wrapped in high-quality black carpet with an embroidered Alpine logo. It includes adjustable, stackable rubber feet and spacers, allowing for both up-firing and down-firing mounting configurations to accommodate uneven vehicle floors. A pre-installed steel mesh grille provides essential protection for the 12-inch cone from shifting cargo.

Those guys are really professional! I had a new Alpine floating head unit installed in my 2008 Mercedes, and it feels like a brand-new car. The installation was super clean. At first, the sound wasn’t the same as the factory stereo, but Kevin tuned it to be just as good—if not better—without adding any new amps. They even used my factory GPS antenna so I don’t have extra wires hanging out. On top of that, they matched the online price. Big thanks to Kevin and Eddie—highly recommended!
Kevin was awesome, he took his time and explained everything to me. I went in initially for a dash cam install and then decided to get a sub and amp installed as well. Both turned out great and will be returning if I need more work done.

Highly recommend Kevin and the team at San Diego Car Stereo for any issues with aftermarket stereos. I bought a car with an aftermarket stereo and AC unit that wasn’t working properly—specifically, the heat wasn’t functioning due to an improper setup.
