Product Overview:
The Alpine S2-SB12 is a high-performance 12-inch preloaded subwoofer enclosure that features Alpine's PrismaLink™ technology. This system combines powerful, accurate bass with an integrated RGBW lighting system, allowing you to customize the visual ambiance of your vehicle's interior. The sealed wedge-style enclosure is built from 3/4" MDF and is designed to deliver deep, punchy bass while fitting into a variety of vehicle applications.
Features
Integrated RGBW Lighting
The S2-SB12 features two built-in RGBW lighting bars on the enclosure trim. You can cycle through 12 static colors and 4 dynamic modes using the included IR remote. For a more integrated experience, the lighting can be controlled directly from the dashboard if paired with an Alpine iLX-W670 receiver via the "Lighting Link" feature.
PrismaLink™ Multi-Link Capability
This enclosure is designed for expandability. Using the optional KTX-LK12 linking kit, you can physically and electronically connect two or more S2-SB12 units together. This allows for a synchronized lighting display across all linked subwoofers, creating a unified and professional-looking multi-sub system.
Next-Generation S-Series Performance
The preloaded S2-W12D4 subwoofer uses a carbon fiber and polypropylene blend cone, ensuring it is lightweight yet rigid for high output with low distortion. It features Alpine’s proprietary High-Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) surround, which allows for a linear excursion of 15mm, providing the "punch" and impact expected from a 12-inch driver.
Seamless Power Matching
The internal dual 4-ohm voice coils are pre-wired in parallel, presenting a 2-ohm final load at the spring terminals. This makes it an ideal match for the Alpine S2-A60M mono amplifier, which provides the 600W RMS needed to drive the subwoofer to its full potential.
