K2 Sandwich Cone Technology
The heart of the ES 165 KX2 is its composite woofer cone. It uses an ultra-light foam core sandwiched between a layer of aramid fibers and a layer of glass fibers. This design provides the three essential pillars of a high-performance speaker: rigidity, lightness, and damping. The result is a precise, dynamic sound that remains uncolored even at high volumes.
Tuned Mass Damper (TMD®) Surround
This patented technology uses finely positioned toroidal weights to stabilize the rubber surround. By controlling the suspension's movement, TMD® significantly reduces harmonic distortion in the midrange (1kHz – 2kHz), ensuring vocals and instruments sound remarkably clear and natural.
"M"-Profile Inverted Dome Tweeter
The TKMX tweeter features a unique "M"-shaped structure made of aramid fiber. This inverted dome design disperses high frequencies with exceptional accuracy up to 22,000 Hz. When coupled with the bi-amplifiable crossovers, it allows for perfect control of the high end, providing smooth treble with lifelike definition.
Maximum Power Extraction
