Hertz C 165 F

Hertz C 165 F | Cento Series 6.5" Flat Profile Woofer

The Hertz C 165 F is a specialized 165 mm (6.5") shallow-mount woofer designed to solve the most common challenge in modern car audio: limited mounting depth. Part of the Cento series, the C 165 F features a super-slim basket that allows for high-fidelity sound in problematic OEM locations where standard speakers simply won't fit. Despite its compact profile, it delivers the signature "Hertz Sound Experience" with an extended frequency response and impressive efficiency.

Product Highlights

Super Slim Profile: With a mounting depth of only 43.5 mm (1.71 in.), this woofer is specifically engineered for new-generation vehicles with extremely shallow door cavities, eliminating the need for bulky spacers or custom door modifications.

SPP-M (Semi-Pressed Paper-Mica) Cone: The C 165 F utilizes a specialized cone material that blends paper with Mica powder. This results in a diaphragm that is both lightweight and rigid, providing the perfect balance between high efficiency and a natural, uncolored sound.

High-Density Ferrite Magnet: Even with its reduced size, the motor assembly features a high-flux ferrite magnet. This ensures the 25 mm (1") voice coil maintains excellent control and thermal stability, even during demanding musical passages.

Optimized Excursion: The R&D team redesigned the dustcup and cone geometry specifically for this flat profile. This optimization allows the mobile group to maintain a significant linear excursion, ensuring punchy mid-bass that defies the speaker's slim dimensions.

Key Features

Enhanced Dispersion: The geometry of the C 165 F is tuned to provide a wide off-axis response. This is critical in car environments where the woofer is often placed low in the door, ensuring the midrange frequencies still reach the listener’s ears clearly.

Durable Construction: The low-profile basket is finished with a resistant coating to protect against the humidity and temperature fluctuations found inside vehicle doors, ensuring long-term reliability.

Easy Integration: Designed as a dedicated woofer, it integrates seamlessly into active systems or can be paired with Cento series tweeters and crossovers to create a custom high-end component set.

High Sensitivity: A 93 dB SPL rating makes these woofers incredibly easy to drive, allowing them to provide a significant volume increase and improved clarity over factory speakers when used with standard or low-power head units.
