Hertz ML 700.3 Legend | Mille Legend 3" Midrange Speakers
The Hertz ML 700.3 Legend is a reference-grade 3-inch midrange driver designed to anchor the high-end soundstage of a flagship Mille Legend system. Using a powerful Neodymium magnet and the proprietary V-cone® exponential profile, this driver delivers exceptional dispersion and linearity. It is engineered to provide an extended, properly damped frequency response, making it the ideal partner for the ML 1800.3 Legend woofer in a competition-level multi-amplified setup.
Product Highlights
-
V-cone® Geometry Upgrade: The exponential profile without a traditional dust cap ensures the cone acts as a perfect piston, resulting in utmost linearity and wide acoustic dispersion.
-
Boundary Free Surround: This specialized IIR rubber surround provides more surface area than standard 3-inch drivers, allowing for better efficiency and a wider frequency response into the mid-bass range.
-
Pressed-Pulp Cone with Cotton Fibers: This premium material blend offers a near-perfect balance of stiffness and lightweight agility, ensuring natural timbre and minimal distortion.
-
Anti-Resonant Aluminum Basket: The three-spoke die-cast aluminum frame features built-in venting holes to prevent back-wave compression and maintain acoustic transparency.
Key Features
-
Neodymium Magnet Motor: FEA-optimized to provide superior dynamics and precise control over the mobile voice coil for high-fidelity reproduction.
-
Pure Copper Voice Coil: A one-layer mobile coil that provides a wider extension into the high-frequency range, allowing for a seamless transition to the tweeter.
-
CNC Machined Plates: Forged from very low carbon content steel to maximize magnetic permeability and ensure low distortion even at high power levels.
-
High-End Finish: Features an elegant diamond-cut basket edge and includes a factory-provided die-cast aluminum grille with a diamond-cut logo.
