The MPS Series subwoofer is engineered for installations where space is extremely limited, offering compactness without sacrificing power or performance. By integrating the support structure for both the voice coil and spider, the magnet assembly is positioned closer to the center, allowing for a much shallower mounting depth while still enabling excellent cone excursion. With its rugged polypropylene cone and die-cast aluminum frame, this subwoofer provides a strong and durable foundation capable of handling 500 watts RMS and up to 1000 watts peak power. This means you get deep, impactful bass even in tight or restrictive enclosure spaces.
The six-layer copper voice coil increases thermal capacity and reliability, ensuring consistent performance under demanding conditions. Its non-vented rear design allows for an even more compact enclosure, while the included screw-less mesh grille adds protection with a premium, clean look. A die-cast aluminum frame and 8AWG spring-loaded terminals make installation secure and efficient. The subwoofer also incorporates EID technology for scanning and identifying audio signals with precision.

Those guys are really professional! I had a new Alpine floating head unit installed in my 2008 Mercedes, and it feels like a brand-new car. The installation was super clean. At first, the sound wasn’t the same as the factory stereo, but Kevin tuned it to be just as good—if not better—without adding any new amps. They even used my factory GPS antenna so I don’t have extra wires hanging out. On top of that, they matched the online price. Big thanks to Kevin and Eddie—highly recommended!
Kevin was awesome, he took his time and explained everything to me. I went in initially for a dash cam install and then decided to get a sub and amp installed as well. Both turned out great and will be returning if I need more work done.

Highly recommend Kevin and the team at San Diego Car Stereo for any issues with aftermarket stereos.
