Product Overview:
The Infinity Kappa 693CF is a flagship 6" x 9" component system designed for audiophiles who demand precision and high-output performance. As part of the Kappa Series, these speakers utilize premium materials and Hi-Res Audio capable tweeters to deliver a wide soundstage with incredible detail. This system includes two glass-fiber woofers, two edge-driven silk dome tweeters, and two high-quality external crossovers.
Key Features
Patented Plus One™ Glass-Fiber Woofers
The 693CF features glass-fiber woofer cones that are significantly lighter and stiffer than traditional materials. This rigidity allows the cone to maintain its shape even at high volumes, resulting in punchy, defined bass and minimal distortion. The Plus One™ technology extends the cone to the edge of the basket, providing more surface area for increased low-frequency output.
Edge-Driven Silk Dome Tweeters
These high-resolution tweeters are capable of reaching frequencies up to 40,000 Hz, meeting the standards for Hi-Res Audio. The edge-driven silk dome design handles more power and reduces distortion compared to smaller balanced domes. For perfect imaging, the system includes Starfish™ mounting brackets, allowing for easy installation of the tweeters into various factory locations.
Three-Way Upgradability
A unique feature of the Kappa component crossovers is their 3-way upgradability. The crossovers are equipped with a selection switch that allows you to integrate an optional Kappa 203S (2") or 303S (3") midrange speaker. This transforms your two-way system into a comprehensive three-way setup with perfect tonal balance, without needing to replace your existing crossovers.
High Sensitivity & Low Impedance
With a 94 dB sensitivity rating and a 3-ohm low-impedance design, these speakers are incredibly efficient. They are engineered to extract maximum power from your amplifier or head unit, compensating for the resistance often found in thin factory wiring. This ensures a loud and clear performance even when used with lower-powered factory systems.

Those guys are really professional! I had a new Alpine floating head unit installed in my 2008 Mercedes, and it feels like a brand-new car. The installation was super clean. At first, the sound wasn’t the same as the factory stereo, but Kevin tuned it to be just as good—if not better—without adding any new amps. They even used my factory GPS antenna so I don’t have extra wires hanging out. On top of that, they matched the online price. Big thanks to Kevin and Eddie—highly recommended!
Kevin was awesome, he took his time and explained everything to me. I went in initially for a dash cam install and then decided to get a sub and amp installed as well. Both turned out great and will be returning if I need more work done.

Highly recommend Kevin and the team at San Diego Car Stereo for any issues with aftermarket stereos. I bought a car with an aftermarket stereo and AC unit that wasn’t working properly—specifically, the heat wasn’t functioning due to an improper setup. I had several people look at it with no luck, and even the dealership basically refused to help because it was an aftermarket install.
