Memphis Audio PRX60C 6-3/4" Power Reference Oversized Component Speakers
The Memphis Audio PRX60C is the flagship component system of the Power Reference line, designed for those who want a professional front-stage sound with perfect imaging. Unlike coaxial speakers, this component set separates the woofer and the tweeter, allowing you to mount the tweeter higher up in your dash or pillars. This "lifts" the soundstage to ear level, providing a much more vibrant and life-like listening experience that mimics a live concert.
Key Highlights
-
Superior Sound Staging: By using a separate 1" poly dome tweeter, you can position the high frequencies exactly where you need them, vastly improving the clarity and realism of your music.
-
Dedicated External Crossovers: Includes a pair of precision-tuned external crossovers that handle the frequency "traffic control," ensuring the woofer only plays mid-bass and the tweeter only plays the highs.
-
Warm & Musical Tone: Engineered for the signature "Power Reference" sound—warm, smooth, and non-fatiguing—making it perfect for daily commuters and long road trips.
-
Oversized 6.5" Midrange: The "oversized" design provides more surface area than a standard 6.5" speaker, resulting in punchier mid-bass and better overall efficiency.
-
Durable & Reliable: Features a graphite-reinforced polypropylene cone and a butyl rubber surround, ensuring the system can handle high volume and moisture without degrading.
