JL Audio RD800/6 6-Channel Class D Full-Range Amplifier (800W RMS)
The RD800/6 solves a problem that has plagued 6-channel amplifiers for years: not enough power where you need it most. With a staggered power design that delivers 75 watts RMS x 4 channels plus 200 watts RMS x 2 channels (all at 4 ohms), this amp gives you double the power on channels 5 and 6 for midbass drivers, a center channel, or a small subwoofer. Total system output is 800 watts RMS from a single, compact chassis.
Built on JL Audio's NexD™ switching technology, the RD800/6 generates serious power with exceptional efficiency and minimal heat. The result is premium audio quality with significantly reduced current draw, making it ideal for vehicles where electrical headroom is a concern. All six channels are 2-ohm stable, and every channel pair is fully bridgeable for maximum flexibility in system design.
Studio-grade signal processing is built right in, with 12 dB/octave filters on each channel pair. The 6-channel model supports triple high-pass filters or full 3-way crossover capability, so you can run an active front stage without needing an external crossover. LED clipping indicators on the control panel make gain setting fast and accurate without extra test equipment.

Staggered Power Design — Channels 1-4 deliver 75W x 4 at 4 ohms (100W x 4 at 2 ohms), while channels 5-6 deliver 200W x 2 at 4 ohms, giving you double the power where you need it most for midbass, center channel, or subwoofer duty.
Studio-Grade Signal Processing — Each channel pair features 12 dB/octave filters with continuously variable frequency selection from 50-500 Hz. The 6-channel configuration supports triple high-pass filters or full 3-way crossover capability.
Differential-Balanced Inputs — Engineered to combat induced cable noise common in car audio installations. Works with standard RCA cables while delivering the benefits of a true balanced connection. Accepts both low-level and high-level signal sources.
LED Clipping Indicators — Built-in clipping indicators on each channel section let you set input sensitivity quickly and accurately without additional test equipment.
3 Turn-On Options — Choose from +12V remote wire, signal sensing, or DC offset detection for maximum installation flexibility, including direct integration with factory systems.
Selectable Input Voltage — Switchable from Low (200 mV to 2V RMS) to High (800 mV to 8V RMS) to accommodate factory and aftermarket source units.
All Channel Pairs Bridgeable — Every channel pair can be bridged for increased power output, enabling configurations from 6-channel down to 3-channel operation.

Those guys are really professional! I had a new Alpine floating head unit installed in my 2008 Mercedes, and it feels like a brand-new car. The installation was super clean. At first, the sound wasn’t the same as the factory stereo, but Kevin tuned it to be just as good—if not better—without adding any new amps. They even used my factory GPS antenna so I don’t have extra wires hanging out. On top of that, they matched the online price. Big thanks to Kevin and Eddie—highly recommended!
Kevin was awesome, he took his time and explained everything to me. I went in initially for a dash cam install and then decided to get a sub and amp installed as well. Both turned out great and will be returning if I need more work done.

Highly recommend Kevin and the team at San Diego Car Stereo for any issues with aftermarket stereos.
